STANDING WITH COMMUTERS AGAINST UNREASONABLE FARE HIKES

Councilman Duncan W. Harrison stands with commuters and against NJ Transit’s plan to increase fares by nine percent. “I have received a number of calls from concerned commuters who expressed their frustration about the proposed increases,” stated Councilman Duncan Harrison.

The City of Trenton is home to thousands of men and women who use transit buses, the light rail, and trains on a daily basis. “The cost of living continues to increase while wages remain stagnant for many residents. Yet commuters are being asked to fork over more of their hard-earned money to NJ Transit,” stated Councilman Duncan Harrison.

Councilman Duncan Harrison is encouraging commuters to attend the public hearing on the proposed fare increases. The hearing is scheduled for Thursday, April 21, 2015 from 5:30PM – 8:30PM at the Trenton Transit Center. Councilman Harrison will be in attendance and advocating on behalf commuters.
