COUNCILMAN HARRISON URGES TRENTON COMMUNITY TO HELP KEEP STORM DRAINS CLEAN

TRENTON: Councilman Duncan W. Harrison Jr. is encouraging City residents to work together to keep our storm drains free of litter and debris. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch Warning for Trenton that will remain in effect until Friday morning. The forecast is calling for heavy rain as a result of Hurricane Arthur.

“I am asking residents to identify storm drains on their block that may be covered with debris. The next step is to take a rake or shovel and remove any trash that may prevent water from getting to that drain. The same can be said for any trash or debris that runs along the curb leading up to the storm drain. The trash can be bagged up and put out at the next scheduled garbage collection day”, stated Councilman Harrison. Below are examples of City storm drains cluttered with trash:
